I was never one to be very vigilant with my skincare until this past year. Once I started watching Youtube makeup artists more often, they always impressed the importance of skincare over and over until I finally decided that it was something I should start doing. It began as a hassle where remembering to do my moisturizer was a big chore, but now I’ve expanded my list of products and I have a regime that I follow twice daily. It’s such a habit for me now and it’s become enjoyable because it makes my skin feel so good.
I’ve slowly experimented with different products and I’ve narrowed it down to these 5:
- Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser 16 fl oz – $36.00
- Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum – $56.00
- Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer – $27.50
- Tony Moly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick – $12.00
- FAB Ultra Repair Cream 6 oz – $30.00
I had tried several other facial cleansers in the past because I thought the Purity cleanser was a ridiculously overpriced hype product. I tried a tiny bottle of it finally because I wasn’t completely happy with any of the others I had and I fell in love. My skin feels so clean and smooth and it removes all but the most stubborn eye makeup. Sometimes I still have to use a little makeup remover to get my gel eyeliner off as it is pretty much waterproof. In the morning I simply splash my face with cold water instead of cleansing and then use my serum and moisturizer.
Next, I go in with this serum and press it into my face. It smells like roses which is the main reason I tried it out, but it works so well and makes my skin so radiant. I got it in this kit to try it out and I also ended up liking the facial mist, but I buy this one now because it smells the same and does the same job and is significantly cheaper.
Once the serum has sunk in I apply the Origins GinZing moisturizer. I love the smell of this moisturizer and it absorbs quickly into the skin so I don’t feel greasy and sticky.
As the moisturizer is soaking in, I apply the eye stick under my eyes. I’m going to be honest, this was mainly a packaging purchase because the panda is just so darn cute! I haven’t noticed too much of a difference in my under eyes, so I can’t claim this is a bad product, but it doesn’t seem to do too much. I will use it up though before I buy something else though, because I do like the cooling sensation.
The last moisturizer is for when my skin is feeling especially dry. I have normal/dry skin so I only use it when I’m having dryness issues because it is a seriously moisturizing and rich cream! I used it all winter, but it became too much for me in the spring time. Now I just use it for spot treatments, but I know I’ll use it all winter long when my dryness is the worst.
What are your favorite everyday skincare products? Do you use any of the ones I use? Have a wonderful week!
