My Skincare Routine

I was never one to be very vigilant with my skincare until this past year. Once I started watching Youtube makeup artists more often, they always impressed the importance of skincare over and over until I finally decided that it was something I should start doing. It began as a hassle where remembering to do my moisturizer was a big chore, but now I’ve expanded my list of products and I have a regime that I follow twice daily. It’s such a habit for me now and it’s become enjoyable because it makes my skin feel so good.

I’ve slowly experimented with different products and I’ve narrowed it down to these 5:

  1. Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser 16 fl oz – $36.00
  2. Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum – $56.00
  3. Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer – $27.50
  4. Tony Moly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick – $12.00
  5. FAB Ultra Repair Cream 6 oz – $30.00

I had tried several other facial cleansers in the past because I thought the Purity cleanser was a ridiculously overpriced hype product. I tried a tiny bottle of it finally because I wasn’t completely happy with any of the others I had and I fell in love. My skin feels so clean and smooth and it removes all but the most stubborn eye makeup. Sometimes I still have to use a little makeup remover to get my gel eyeliner off as it is pretty much waterproof. In the morning I simply splash my face with cold water instead of cleansing and then use my serum and moisturizer.

Next, I go in with this serum and press it into my face. It smells like roses which is the main reason I tried it out, but it works so well and makes my skin so radiant. I got it in this kit to try it out and I also ended up liking the facial mist, but I buy this one now because it smells the same and does the same job and is significantly cheaper.

Once the serum has sunk in I apply the Origins GinZing moisturizer. I love the smell of this moisturizer and it absorbs quickly into the skin so I don’t feel greasy and sticky.

As the moisturizer is soaking in, I apply the eye stick under my eyes. I’m going to be honest, this was mainly a packaging purchase because the panda is just so darn cute! I haven’t noticed too much of a difference in my under eyes, so I can’t claim this is a bad product, but it doesn’t seem to do too much. I will use it up though before I buy something else though, because I do like the cooling sensation.

The last moisturizer is for when my skin is feeling especially dry. I have normal/dry skin so I only use it when I’m having dryness issues because it is a seriously moisturizing and rich cream! I used it all winter, but it became too much for me in the spring time. Now I just use it for spot treatments, but I know I’ll use it all winter long when my dryness is the worst.

What are your favorite everyday skincare products? Do you use any of the ones I use? Have a wonderful week!

I don’t use any of the skincare you mentioned . I am currently trying the bioderma sensibio mild cleansing foaming gel . I also use Avène thermal spring water , and a moisturizing cream from Cetaphil .

I don’t use a serum or eye cream . However I am looking for a good eye cream that can help with my dark circles . They’re pretty dark .

The next eye cream I want to try is Kiehls Midnight Recovery. I’ve heard good things about it and that it really helps with dark circles. I’m just trying to use up my current one before I get it.

I just recently discovered the First Aid Beauty line. I got a little 5 piece sample kit with an order from either Ulta or Sephora (I don’t remember which). I really like the ultimate repair cream. I use it in the morning, but only when my skin is a bit on the drier side. Other brands I’m currently using are: Derma E, desert essence (tea tree cleanser), Dr. Dennis Gross, Avene, Say Yes to Coconuts, Arcona, and Alaffia– just to name a few!

Yes I love First Aid Beauty! That cream is so awesome for when my skin is dry plus you can use it all over your body. How do you like the Say Yes to Coconuts? I’ve been interested in trying out the Say Yes line.
