Spring Inspired Flowers

I absolutely love beautifying my home with flowers all over. They are the perfect testament to spring, breathing new life into my home decor as well as making our patio and flowerbeds bright and inviting. Inside I like to use a lot of faux flowers in my interior decor, just so I’m not constantly having to buy fresh bouquets. That can add up pretty quickly, though I believe it’s worth it if you don’t have a very tight budget. I went to Hobby Lobby the other day, the name of which strikes fear into every man’s heart, and picked up a few flowers to make a bright bouquet to put on our dining room table.

I didn’t want a tall arrangement because I hate when I can’t see everybody over the flowers. I zipped past the rows and rows of florals you see right you walk into Hobby Lobby and went to the aisles with the wax fruit and smaller flowers. They have shorter stems and are much cheaper, which is exactly what I was looking for. I picked out a few flowers that were my favorites and bunched them up to make sure I liked how they looked. Once I had an arrangement I liked, I found a short little vase that would go perfectly with my color scheme. I have lots of cool tones in my decor, so the vase was going to play off of those quite well.

All I did when I got home is bunch up the flowers, tape them together, and put them in the vase.

I love how bright and springy they are!

Here is the breakdown of the costs:

  • (3) flowers – $1.99
  • (4) flowers – $2.99
  • Vase – $7.99 (used 40% off coupon)

Total: $22.72

If I had waited for the flowers to go on sale, as everything inevitably does at Hobby Lobby, it would have been cheaper, but I’ll have this for quite awhile, so I think that makes up for the cost upfront.

Hope you’re having a good Monday!
