This is a really great cream cheese frosting recipe. It’s got enough cream cheese in it to give it that great tangy, cream cheesey taste, so the frosting isn’t overly sweet.
Cream Cheese Frosting
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 stick (8 tbsp) butter, room temperature
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3-4 cups powdered sugar
Cream the butter, cream cheese and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Slowly add 3 cups of the powdered sugar. Keep adding more as needed. You control the level of sweetness by the amount of powdered sugar, so just keep tasting it until it has the desired flavor.
