New Beginnings

So, we are moved in to our new apartment and all settled in. It’s smaller than our old house which makes it so much easier to keep clean! Seriously it took me 20-30 minutes just to vacuum our other house! Now it just takes 10 minutes and I can leave the cord plugged in to just one outlet the whole time! Anyway, we’re adjusting to our new life in a small town with a population of 3,094 people (And no large towns nearby). It is a BIG change from what we are used to. Our old hometown had a population of 50,000 (which is not enormous but it had everything we needed right in town) and was within 40 minutes of two towns with well over 800,000 people. Now it’s a 20 mile drive to the nearest Wal-Mart (not that bad I know, but I got so used to just having it 5 minutes down the road!) and we don’t have a Hobby Lobby within a one hour radius. I think that was the biggest heartbreak. In spite of all of this, I’m just so happy to be back in a little Texas town. The people are just so friendly and warm and it’s like getting back to my roots. I grew up in the middle of nowhere. Seriously. Nothing close. The biggest town was an hour away, so it was a real treat to get to go to town with my mom. Anyway, we are so happy and blessed and excited for what God has in store for us. And let me tell you, He definitely has something planned for us here because it is quite evident from everything that’s happened over the past few weeks. But that’s a story for another day folks. God Bless
